OP: Counter-Strike

Game-type: Hostage Rescue.

Intro Story: Terrorists have taken hostages and they are threatening to eliminate them shortly. They are demanding a plane to take them, and their hostages, to a remote destination. A Counter-terrorism unit has been inserted to relieve the hostages of their captivated state. Their orders are to extract all Hostages without harm, eliminating all threats as needed.

Teams: Two teams, one consisting of Terrorists, the second consisting of Counter-Terrorists. Also needed is a small group of volunteers from both teams to sit in as Hostages (hopefully evening up the teams.) Hostages can be armed with a knife or side arm once they are in the possession of a Counter-Terrorist (Side arms limited to 1 magazine.)

Movement Rules: Terrorists will start at a zone where the hostages are kept. The hostages are kept in a small perimeter marked preferably by traffic cones to signify that the hostages are in possession of the Terrorists. The Counter-terrorists “insert” in a zone away from the terrorists, out of sight of the terrorists and not terribly far from the terrorists.

Objective: The objective is simple for both teams. Terrorists have to keep possession of the hostages until time runs out or the entire opposing force has been eliminated. Counter-terrorists have to insert and extract all hostages before time runs out.

How to Win: Terrorists can win in two ways. First if all counter-terrorist units are eliminated before the time runs. Second, if all hostages are not rescued in the time allotted. Counter-terrorists win if all hostages are rescued within the time limit. Counter-terrorists DO NOT win if all terrorists are eliminated.

Duration: Games should only last about 10 minutes. In this game type the Counter-terrorists have to act hard and fast.

Special Rules: There are no medics or re-spawns in this match, if you get shot you are out. This makes the game quick and easy. Since there are no medics or re-spawns, the games time limit should be short so the people that are eliminated earlier in the match aren’t entirely bored of sitting around. Hostages can be killed, but not by terrorists unless they are in possession of a counter-terrorist. Counter-terrorists can kill a hostage in cross fire, but terrorists are not allowed to hide behind hostages. Counter-terrorists can escort as many hostages as needed. Hostages can also run, but the counter-terrorist must stay in close proximity with them as they do not get left behind, lost, or taken back by terrorists. If a Counter-terrorist is shot while escorting any hostages a terrorist can come re-acquire a hostage and escort them back to the hostage zone. Hostages should wear something that distinguishes them as a hostage.

Below is another OP to go with this entire OP. It switches up the roles of each team.

OP: Counter-Strike

Game Type: Bomb Plant

Intro/Story: Terrorists are planning to bomb one of two known locations. A Counter-Terrorism unit is being inserted into the area to prevent the bombing and eliminate all Terrorists. Loss of any site is failure.

Teams: Evenly split up into two teams, one Terrorist team and the second Counter-Terrorist team. There will be no special secondary teams in this game-type.

Movement Rules: Terrorists should spawn away from both bombing sites and away from the counter-terrorist spawn zone. Counter-terrorists should spawn near both bomb sites, but not within them. There should be a significant distance between both bomb sites as well.

Objective: Terrorists objective is to successfully plant the bomb at a zone and defend it until it explodes. Counter-terrorists job is to eliminate all Terrorists and prevent the bomb from being planted. If the bomb were to be planted, it would be the Counter-terrorist’s job to defuse the bomb before time runs out.

How to win: Counter-terrorists win by eliminating all Terrorists or defusing the bomb if it were planted. Terrorists win if they plant the bomb and successfully see to it that it goes off. Terrorists do not win if they eliminate all Counter-Terrorists.

Duration: Games should be around 10 minutes long, Terrorists have to act hard and fast if they want to win this game.

Special Rules: Re-spawns and medics do not exist. Everyone only gets one life. There will be only one bomb, if the bomb carrier is killed the bomb is dropped at the spot and can only be picked up by another Terrorist. The bomb cannot be picked up by a Counter-terrorist. The bomb is planted if the bomb carrier is in one of the two sites (preferably in an orange coned perimeter) for 15 seconds without interruption. The bomb will go off in 2 minutes of being planted. Counter-terrorists defuse the bomb if they can hold onto the bomb for 30 seconds without being interrupted.

Both game types are heavily (if not exact duplicates) derived from the game Counter-Strike. Sorry for the “plagiarism” I am not claiming these ideas for my own. I simply felt they would be fun to play in a competitive fashion.
